Predator Badlands 2025 Teaser Reaction!
The Predator Badlands 2025 trailer is out! The series is returning to theaters after the success of Prey (2022) on Hulu. This will be the first installment to hit cinemas since The Predator (2018). It’s directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who also helmed Prey.
Badlands, which is the sixth Predator movie (or eighth if you count the Alien vs. Predator flicks), will be the first to take place predominantly on the creatures’ home planet.
This is an interesting contrast to its rival series, Alien, which has an upcoming Hulu show that will be the first of that franchise to take place on Earth. The predators, of course, have been to our world numerous times. They love hunting humans!
This is actually a huge year for Predator. In fact, there are two movies scheduled for release in 2025! The other is Predator: Killer of Killers, an animated film that will stream on Disney Plus/Hulu starting in June. It’s amazing how Prey‘s success has revitalized this previously moribund franchise.
So, what can we expect from Badlands? Will it be as good as Prey? Let’s take a look…
Quick Takes on the Predator Badlands 2025 teaser trailer
-0:00-0:05 – The teaser opens, appropriately enough, in a predator trophy room that sports, among other things, a xenomorph skull.
0:25 – A first look at Elle Fanning’s character, an android. Did the predators create her? What purpose does she serve in their world?
0:47-0:49 – Predators battle each other with glowing swords. This movie is going to have a ton of badass weapons in it.
0:54-0:59 – A predator faces a giant beast. The predators appear to be the protagonists this time. This will be an interesting change – it’s stuff like this that keeps the franchise fresh.
