It Feeds Trailer Reaction!
Ashley Greene (Twilight) is starring in It Feeds, a new possession horror movie that hits theaters and streaming simultaneously next month. Greene plays Cynthia, a psychic therapist who tries to help a young girl who is demonically possessed.
Cynthia’s teenage daughter also gets involved, and the demon becomes a threat to both of them. Shawn Ashmore, who long ago was known for playing Iceman in the early X-Men movies, plays the girl’s father.
Obviously there have been a ton of possession movies, but I don’t know of any that feature a clairvoyant mental health professional as the protagonist. The ability to read peoples’ minds would certainly be useful for a therapist!
Quick Takes on the It Feeds Trailer
0:01-0:07 – The trailer opens with Greene standing in front of a chalkboard with “wolf” and “help me” scrawled repeatedly on it. Reminds me of Little Red Riding Hood. No idea what this has to do with the plot, though.
0:10-0:15 – “Someone digging into your mind takes a lot out of you.” Apparently, Cynthia’s work is pretty intense for her clients.
0:36 – A creepy notebook drawing of a girl being clutched by a shadowy figure. This is a good tone setter for the movie. This could be one of the creepiest movies of the year, if the trailer is any indication.
0:37-0:42 – “We don’t know these people. We can’t trust them.” Does Cynthia and/or her daughter suspect that the girl and her family are trying to con them with a made up possession story? This is unlikely to be true. Horror movies nearly always have the supernatural element turn out to be real in the end.
1:06-1:07 – A very brief shot of a tentacled monster, presumably the entity that’s tormenting them. Or is there more than one?
1:12-1:15 – Cynthia can’t find her daughter. Is this the demon’s work? Or is the possessed girl’s family responsible for her disappearance?
It Feeds will be available in theaters and streaming on April 18th in North America. Here’s the trailer:
