Horror at the Box Office: Sinners Continues to Roll
Although it lost its perch at the top, the juggernaut that is Sinners continued to roll in its third weekend. The vampire western pic added $33 million to its total, bringing its domestic box office to nearly $180 million.
That earned it the number two spot, behind Thunderbolts. Sinners continues to show incredible endurance. This is only about a 27% percent drop from week 2 – another incredible hold for the word of mouth favorite.
Meanwhile, Until Dawn finished in fifth place with $3.8 million for a total of around $14 million domestically and $35 million worldwide. No other horror flicks finished in the top ten.
Looking Ahead
Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler’s combined star power has created another box office sensation. Can it continue its incredible strength next weekend?
Clown in a Cornfield will provide some genre competition starting May 9th and Final Destination: Bloodlines follows on May 16th. Still, Sinners isn’t likely to lose steam anytime soon. It’s destined to become one of 2025’s highest grossing pictures.
